Rune Glifberg

Rune Glifberg is an amazing pro-skateboarder.
Who killed at the X Games.
And Tumblr just reminded me of my massive Rune crush.
Thank you interwebz.

New Age Chopsticks

In Japan there is a "my chopsticks" movement because the wooden disposable chopsticks are a waste of resources. But people miss the feeling when they pull them apart. That is ritual is the starting sign of the meal.

"Stickpecker" is a solution for that. The Magnet resembles the feeling of pulling apart wooden chopsticks. Also the wood pecker and wood design reminds you of a peaceful forest that you are protecting at that very moment. You can say good bye to the wooden ones.

What a neat idea! Especially for people like me who are absolutely terrible at splitting the wooden chopsticks evenly. You'll have to constantly have wet wipes on you though, unless you plan on being gross and stashing away your chopsticks in the box, fresh from ramen.

But at a WTF price of ¥3,570 (S$56), I'd rather have unevenly split wooden chopsticks.

WoW Comic from

My friend Maddie posted this on my FB wall.....
So I like WoW.
But I'm not THAATTT addicted, I'd be pretty mad, but yeah whatevs.
Leveling is hard okay?

Working late tonight....

Everybody Wang Chung tonight!

I understand the having fun bits.
But what does "Wang Chung" even mean?
How did they come up with the group name?
Why would everyone Wang Chung?
Sounds awkward.

Love the song though. Such a classic. Gotta love the 80's

BUY THIS FOR YOUR KIDS (or nieces and nephews :P)

This cute little money box stole my heart when I saw it at Action City earlier this month...

When you place a coin on the "dish" the cat (or dog) pops up and steals the coin before retreating back into its little box...

Needless to say, as soon as I was asked to buy my nephew (age 6) and niece (age 4) Christmas presents these were the first things i thought of! ... Not only are they totally adorable and Asian (my niece and nephew live in Germany so I wanted something they wouldn't be able to get over there), it'll help them save up - so it teaches them about money too :P...

I'm thinking of getting one for myself actually...

Here's a video I found on Youtube of the box in action:

Tell me what you think!

Much love,

I hope your Christmas break was as relaxing and amazing as mine!

I'm here today to share with you the COOLEST Christmas present ever:

Kandela Magic Candle!!

This is by far the most fun present I've receive in a while!

In short, the package you get contains a "magic wand" and an LED candle (which looks pretty realistic if you ask me!)... and you can use the wand to switch the candle on and off with different hand movements! you can even "blow" the candle out like it is a real one and tap the wand twice so it goes on timer and switches off after 60 seconds.

Now I KNOW I'm been totally geeky here - but it's so much fun even my brother and mum tried it out!...

Check it out...

It works from up to 4 meters away and is a GREAT present for little ones (or people like me ^^)

much love,

You would find this funny if you watch(ed) Arrested Development.....

If you have never seen it or don't know who David Cross is, you probably won't find this funny.
And I would have to break up with you.
Because you won't understand the amazing which is Tobias Fünke.
And at times when we're supposed to get naked, you won't get why I'm wearing denim shorts.
It's not because I'm actually too shy to get naked, I just really enjoy Arrested Development references. Especially Tobias references.
By now we're either on the same page, or on two completely different planets (and you're clearly living in Uranus.)
So if you're interested in saving this relationship, we could watch AD DVDs, and maybe cuddle.
If not... you should leave.

Comic Sans is bad for health

Whether you admit it or not, I believe that everyone of us has an Inner Font Nazi. I also believe that we reach a certain age, as part of puberty, where we realise that certain fonts are just butt ugly, wrong and should not be further encouraged by being part of Microsoft Office.

Comic Sans MS is one of them.

Do you know anyone who is guilty of using this font in a non-joke way? Send them along to Comic Sans Criminal to teach them a thing or two. You'd be a great friend for doing so.

It's a drizzly late Christmas afternoon - I guess this is as snowy as Singapore gets.

In the spirit of sharing, here's the amazing Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade made even more amazing in time lapse + tilt shift style.

Hope everyone has a delightful Christmas. Here's wishing you tons of holiday cheer from Mariam, Yvette, Rosemary and Sheena xx

Who's got a beard that's long and white?

Bob Dylan - Must be Santa

Post awesome Christmas party, I thought I ought to post something festive.
So here is my favouritest Christmas song in the whole wide world.
It's ridiculously catchy! And has everything awesome about Christmas in it.
Clearly, Must Be Santa is the ultimate Christmas song. How rad would it be if carolers busted out their guitars and sung this instead of cheesy traditional hymns?

Two Fridays ago, Yvette, Rosemary & I had a party at Black Coffee Dessert Bar and it was a blast! So much food, too many drinks (which is never a bad thing), tons of laughs and dozens of Instax photos.

I think it’s safe to say that everyone left the party as legit BFFs. That’s the amazing after effect of parties.

Now if only we could find an inexpensive way to have one every week..

4.5 day weekend break is here baby!!

To add on to some holiday cheer, here's a really feel-good song! I just started listening to The Who this morning!!

Crumpled City Maps

I can't think of anyone who doesn't enjoy travel. Who the hells likes to stay put in one place all the time?

I chanced across this great maps that are not only greatly designed and super comprehensive - it can be crumpled! (Of course, Google Maps is a million times better if you can afford to have data with you wherever you go. What did we do before the Internet?)

No more having awkward tears from repeated folding and stuffing into bags. Because folding neatly is not always practical.

Why no one should ever wear jeggings.

Thank you Coco.
You make an excellent point.

There's only a 26.45% chance that I might be Asian.
And 0.00% chance of me being Black (this is extremely upsetting).

Someone should let my parents know.

Important quotes to live life by.

Even if they're not the right person/character.
